Two Weeks In

Guess what? Despite Tropical Storm Fay, we made it through our first two weeks of school. It is my hope that all of you have gotten acclaimated with your teachers, peers, and classes. Often times, it takes getting adjusted when you are in a new environment regardless of what grade you are in. At this point, everyone should just about have all of their textbooks, lockers, and student IDs. Open House is just around the corner as well on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at 6:00p.m. I look forward to seeing all of you and your parents. Before I end, allow me to give you a few friendly reminders:

  • Your student IDs should be worn around your neck everyday. You may not understand, but this is a safety policy and it also helps the faculty and staff identify our students.

  • Always bring a parent letter from home whenever you are absent .

  • Please read through your Student Code of Conduct handbook with your parents regarding the dress code.

One other note, at the end of my blogs I will give you a question, which I call an "exit ticket." Feel free to respond to my blog. So, your first exit ticket is: "What is it that you have been enjoying most about school during these first few weeks?" Until my next blog, remember that "YOU" are your only LIMITATION!
